Veena Ravi has been collecting these dolls for 20-25 years. At her home in Basavanagudi, she has recreated the underwater city of Dwarka using over 6,000 Dasara figurines. Every year, a new theme is curated using the figurines to depict a different story from Hindu mythology. This year, the chosen theme is Dwarka, the holy city that, according to legend, was submerged under the Arabian Sea as Lord Krishna departed from the world. This annual family tradition has become a local attraction, drawing about 100 visitors per day during Dasara. Preparation for the display begins months in advance, with the figurines meticulously arranged starting from August to ensure every detail is perfect.
